Ok. Here it is...finally, my first blog post!
If you stopped by and are actually reading this post, I want to start out by saying THANKS!
This is my personal blog, as stated on the home page, where I "hope to share my experiences in life, learning and technology.
So, why am I blogging? What is so important, that I need to share with everyone? Really, there is nothing that serious that I plan on blogging about (not yet anyway). Besides the reasons stated above, the underlying reason is really that I want to "pay it forward", by sharing my experiences with you, with the intent of sparing you some of the pains I have experienced in the context of learning and technology. If you learn something new or if I saved you hours of work trying to figure out how to do something, then I've met my intent :-)
A little bit more about the blog.
First off, I decided to call it "The Reprogram" because I am at a point in my life where I have undergone some drastic changes personally and I am currently transitioning into Programming after an extended tour with the Military. So in essence, I am "reprogramming" my self both as a person and in my career, hence the name "The Reprogram". Besides that, I named the blog after a Hip-Hop weekly venue I used to go to, at Fitzgerald's. I always thought the name was cool, even before I started programming.
Also, in the spirit of Zen Coding, I wanted a medium to be able to expose myself and show anyone that's interested, what I'm about and what I can do--show case my skills like in Napoleon Dynamite and maybe make a little extra money :D
So what are my goals with this blog?
- Blog at least 1-2 hours per week.
- Keep my posts short but make them as informative as possible.
- Keep everyone informed on craft related events and social events in the area.
- Not waste your time!!!
Well, that's pretty much it. Not to bad for my first post. Next post--Effective Learning.
So this is what you have been doing late at night? Congrats, I am impressed, keep up the good work.
